Before Your First Visit

Sometimes it is hard for people to make initial outreach to a new counselor. If you can identify with this feeling, this next section for you. Below, I have outlined the next steps that commonly occur once you make contact with me. Hopefully knowing what to expect can help put your mind at ease.

Once you contact me, I will ask you for a copy of your insurance card (front and back) along with your birth date and the subscriber's name and date of birth so that I can verify your benefits and ensure that I am participating with your specific insurance plan.

Once your insurance benefits have been verified, I will provide you with a secure link to create a free account in the Theranest portal, which will give you access to the initial client paperwork. I ask that you complete the initial paperwork prior to your first session.

I will also send you a welcome link via text message to create a free account with Ivy Pay, which is an application that I use to collect copayments and charges.

Finally, I will ask your availability and work with you to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you.
